Cornwall Council to debate £300m plan for tackling housing crisis
Cornwall Council’s Economic Growth and Development Overview and Scrutiny Committee have submitted a Housing Crisis Plan which includes £300m worth of recommendations. Councillors are set to review these plans and explore options with a range of partners and developers.

Basildon recycling trial deemed a success
During a six-week trial, 320 residents in Noak Bridge stopped using their wheelie bins and instead took to separating their plastic and cans into crates and papers into reusable sacks. The trial was exploring how Basildon could bring their recycling in line with the Government’s Waste Strategy and Environment Bill, which requires councils to focus on quality recyclables over quantity.
